In an effort to accommodate for the current pandemic that our community and world are facing, we, at South Side Delivers, will be implementing a number of precautions for the delivery process. Per the advice of the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, and other health authorities, we will be doing everything possible to minimize the transmission of COVID-19 for team members and customers alike, including an increased emphasis on the things we do every day. We are mandating additional training for all employees in our stores to reinforce good hygiene practices. We are increasing the frequency of the disinfection of all food contact surfaces (and our delivery bags), and all other surfaces that are frequently touched by team members and customers. We also know that many customers may prefer “Contactless” Delivery, and we will do whatever it takes to get our customers their products in the most sanitary way possible (even if that calls for a drop and run). We are here for the comfort, safety, and well-being of our customers and employees during this dire time.
At South Side Delivers, we have seen the ever-developing need for access to essential goods in our community. We know there are people hunkering down in their homes, afraid to go to the grocery store and risk exposure to COVID-19. We know people have stopped their fast-paced lives and are now facing the idea of “Well what do we do now?” We know all of this, and we are here to help.
It is the mission of South Side Delivers to offer our community a delivery service, free of charge, to provide groceries and goods from local businesses that also need our support. It is time to give back to all of those that are struggling during this crisis, and we believe this might be the first step to doing just that.
South Side Delivers is here to help, whether that means bringing groceries to your front door or providing you with a list of movies to watch on Netflix. We WILL deliver!
